Car Rental Online Reservations

AGE

The minimum age for renting an A and B class car is 21 years. The maximum rental age is 80 years. If you do not meet these criteria at the time of vehicle pick-up, the booking will be cancelled and you will be required to pay the full amount.

DRIVING LICENSE

Drivers must hold a valid driving license for at least one (1) year. National driving licenses issued in the EU, Greece, USA, UK, Switzerland, Australia, Canada, Israel, Russia and Ukraine are accepted. For all other countries, an International Driving License is required.

TRAFFIC CODE INFRINGEMENTS – FINES – ADMINISTRATIVE PENALTIES

Any violation of the Traffic Code, fines, tickets and administrative penalties resulting from violations of Greek traffic laws during the rental period are the sole responsibility of the renter. If the administrative sanction is not disclosed to the company before the end of the rental period (contract), the violation will be charged to the renter.

MILEAGE

Unlimited mileage is included in the final rental price.

TAXES / VAT

The final rental price includes VAT (24%).

ADDITIONAL DRIVERS

Registration of one (1) additional driver is free of charge. A maximum of three (3) drivers in total may be registered, including the main driver. The additional cost per day, per driver, is €3.

FREE ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE

Roadside assistance is provided free of charge by RENTOPS 24/7. RENTOPS partner for Roadside Assistance – Assistance can be contacted at +30 2130904393. In case you require roadside assistance, please contact RENTOPS directly and immediately.

CAR REPLACEMENT

In the event of an accident or damage resulting in vehicle immobilization, your car will be replaced within 24 hours from the time the accident or damage is reported.
RENTOPS reserves the right to investigate the causes of the accident or damage and may refuse replacement if the vehicle was not used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract.

ZERO CHARGE IN CASE OF FLIGHT DELAY

RENTOPS does not charge you in case of flight delay. Our staff constantly monitors flight schedules and will wait for you at the updated arrival time.

LOSS OF KEYS

Loss of keys and the cost of replacement are the sole responsibility of the renter.

TYRE DAMAGES

Non-repairable tyres are not covered by insurance. If the tyre is repairable, the customer may pay for the repair and the company will reimburse the respective cost.

CANCELLATION OF RESERVATION

You may cancel your reservation once it has been confirmed. To cancel, please use the email address and reservation number provided after completing your online booking.

Cancellation more than 48 hours before the scheduled pick-up time: In this case, a full refund of the amount paid will be issued. Refunds are processed by crediting the card used for the original payment.
No Show: If the renter does not cancel the reservation before the scheduled pick-up time and fails to appear, the company reserves the right to charge the full prepaid amount.

DELIVERY – VEHICLE PICK-UP AND RETURN

RENTOPS can deliver or collect a vehicle at the locations specified in the booking form you selected. For locations not included in the form, please contact us in advance.
Vehicle delivery between 22:00 and 08:00 is subject to a €20 charge, payable upon pick-up. Vehicle return is free of charge.

CAR TRANSPORT BY SEA OR ACROSS BORDERS

Transporting the vehicle by sea or outside national borders is strictly prohibited. In such cases, insurance coverage becomes void and the renter is fully responsible for any damage caused to the vehicle.

ONEWAY CAR RENTAL

You may rent a vehicle for a one-way trip, provided the arrangement is agreed upon at the start of the rental and confirmed in the contract.

CAR RENTAL EXTENSION

If you wish to extend your rental period, please contact RENTOPS to check availability. RENTOPS reserves the right to refuse extension in case of non-availability.

If an extension is possible, a grace period of one (1) hour applies without charge, provided RENTOPS has been notified in advance and approval has been granted. The following three (3) hours are charged at €10 per hour. Delays exceeding three (3) hours will be charged as one (1) full rental day. The client may not return the vehicle later than the agreed return time without prior authorization, as insurance coverage does not apply beyond the agreed return time.

CASE OF ACCIDENT

In the event of an accident, you must immediately contact RENTOPS via the 24/7 helpline. You are not allowed to leave the accident scene before reporting the incident. If you cannot reach RENTOPS, you must contact the police immediately.

Failure to report the accident to RENTOPS makes you fully liable for the cost of repairing any damage to the rental vehicle. In case of injury, you must also contact the police or ambulance services. If the other vehicle involved leaves the scene, take a photo or note its license plate number. RENTOPS will immediately inform its insurance partner.

VEHICLE USE

All insurance coverages and waivers apply provided that the renter complies with all terms and conditions. The renter must inspect the vehicle regularly and report any damage to RENTOPS or the police without moving the vehicle, in order to clarify the circumstances of the incident and complete the necessary documentation. If damage or an accident is not reported within two (2) hours of occurrence, the renter becomes fully liable and must cover the repair cost. Reports made at the time of vehicle return will not be accepted.

RENTOPS reserves the right to claim compensation for repair costs in the following cases: 

If the renter drives on prohibited roads, unpaved roads, dirt roads or off-road areas, intentionally or unintentionally.
If the renter violates traffic regulations such as stop signs, speed limits, direction of travel, illegal turns or illegal overtaking over double lines.
If the renter goes off-road due to negligence.
If the renter violates parking regulations.
If the vehicle is used in racing, competition, rally events or for financial gain such as taxi or courier services.
If the vehicle is driven by a person without a valid license, with a confiscated license, or not registered in the rental contract.
If the driver is under the influence of alcohol or drugs affecting driving ability.
If the vehicle is damaged due to renter negligence, including body or door damage from strong wind, clutch damage, dents on hood, trunk or roof, interior damage or damage caused by animals.

FUEL POLICY

The vehicle must be returned with the same amount of fuel as at the time of pick-up. If the tank was half full, it must be returned half full.

EARLY RETURN OF THE VEHICLE BEFORE THE END OF THE RENTAL PERIOD

No refund will be provided for any unused portion of the rental period if the vehicle is returned earlier than agreed.

SELECTION OF A SPECIFIC CAR BRAND OR MODEL

Reservations are made for a vehicle category and not for a guaranteed make or model. Each category may include different models with similar specifications and features.
After reservation confirmation, you may request a preferred model. Your preference will be noted and every effort will be made to provide it, subject to availability on the day of arrival.
Please be aware that you may receive any vehicle within the selected category.
If a confirmed reservation exists for a specific category and no vehicle from that category is available at delivery time, RENTOPS reserves the right to provide a vehicle of a higher category at no additional cost.
